Bridging Healthcare and Healing Arts to Expand Whole-Person Care
Growing a network supporting connection, visibility, and collaboration among healing arts practitioners across Oregon
The Oregon Healing Arts Network (OHAN) is a community-driven initiative created to strengthen connection, visibility, and collaboration among healing arts practitioners across the state. It also creates space for thoughtful dialogue about the role healing arts can play in supporting individual and community wellbeing, while helping to build bridges between healing arts practitioners and traditional healthcare providers and systems.
OHAN is not centered on any single modality or tradition. Instead, it embraces the full diversity of healing practices, recognizing the value each brings to the wellbeing of individuals and communities, and exploring how these practices can thoughtfully complement conventional care.
Why This Network Is Being Created
Practitioners across Oregon have shared common challenges, including:
Limited public understanding of healing arts
Lack of visibility for practitioners
Barriers to broader recognition and collaboration, including with healthcare systems
OHAN was created to explore how a connected, collaborative network can help address these challenges, while strengthening the healing arts community and fostering greater understanding and integration between healing arts and the broader healthcare landscape across Oregon.
